I got my 3D printer working this weekend. Little adjusting still to do but it´s getting there.

Did some metal work for the cab. Floor braces are coming together. I need to get some sheet metal to do the floor panels.

Front fender.

Today i started to do the front fenders. I will paint it with some primer. This week i also got my 3D printer that i am going use a lot in this build. I will post some pictures of it this weekend. It is DIY model so it will take few days to put it together.

More steam.

Today the second rear fender got it´s rivets. And the lines are now painted. Tomorrow it will get the rub´n buff treatment. There are about 310 pcs of rivets in these fenders.

Fenders

I have started to do some "steampunking". The fenders have been painted with black wrinkle paint. The rivets are furniture nails that i have cut to proper length and clued to drilled holes. I used a grinder and some copper paint to do the lines. And copper rub´n buff to make it look worn.

Yankee car show 2015

The truck was shown to the puplic at the Yankee car show Lahti 3-4.10.2015. We won the Best Decor prize with some help of the Minions.

The beginning

About one and a half year ago, i bought 1929 Ford model A pickup truck ( what was left of it ) to cure a very bad hotrod fever.  This summer i was able to start building it, because my other project ( 1964 Pontiac Lemans GTO convertible ) took all my time. About a year ago, the idea of a steampunk style car started to lift it´s head. The style of steampunk has fascinated me for a long time, so this is my contribution to keep steampunk alive and kicking.
